Dévotions Café is clearly one of those addresses we’d keep to ourselves if we lived in the north of Paris. Tucked away on rue Ramey, just steps from the Marché du Poteau, this small neighborhood coffee shop has been blending specialty coffee with healthy, homemade cooking since 2023. We went to try breakfast, and here’s what we thought. Short version: we’re in.
A Neighborhood, an Address, a Vibe
Rue Ramey is anything but a tourist street. Tucked between Château Rouge and Jules Joffrin in the 18th arrondissement, it climbs gently toward Montmartre, past neighborhood shops and Haussmannian buildings. Dévotions Café opened here in 2023, founded by Thom, a barista with nearly nine years of experience, and Rid, a professional photographer: two partners united by one shared obsession, specialty coffee.
The space holds about fifteen seats, decorated with green plants, raw wood, and a few vintage touches that give the whole place a slightly well-traveled feel. There’s also a counter dedicated to beans sourced directly from selected roasters, ground on-site to order, whether you’re brewing filter, Chemex, Aeropress, or stovetop moka. The café even runs the occasional latte art workshop for the curious.
The space stays small and fills up fast on weekends, especially between 9:30am and 1pm, so plan for a short wait or go for takeaway instead.

The toasted banana bread and the homemade cookies, soft in all the right ways and gone in seconds.
We loved
Dévotions Café built its menu short but deliberate, for people who want an actual meal rather than a quick coffee break. The house star is the Turkish egg: a poached egg draped in yogurt and herbs, served with toasted bread. We also loved our bowl, along with the toast piled with peanut butter. Portions were spot on, and everything came out fast, with a smile.
On the drinks side, the café leans on its specialty coffee (flat white, the filter of the day) but also on a lineup of lattes that breaks from the usual: chai latte, matcha latte, and above all the pistachio latte. The homemade pastries, scones especially, round out the menu nicely, along with detox juices and protein shakes for anyone coming from a workout. We went with the shake ourselves.
