If you follow our adventures, you probably know that we love discovering new hotels every time we travel. But it seems that Paris is a bit different, we definitely have our favorites when we spend some time in the French capital city. Most of the time, we choose the same two hotels: Le Bristol Paris and Hoy – Home of Yoga. And it was during a magnificent stay in September, for Papa Puffin’s birthday, that we had the chance to dine at the three-Michelin-starred Epicure restaurant by Chef Eric Frechon.

The challenge was significant because Mr. Frechon is not used to vegan cuisine and it took all the vigilance of his teams to ensure that our meal did not contain cream or butter. Habits die hard and plant-based cuisine is still struggling to enter the kitchens of starred chefs … to our great sadness.

We really enjoyed …

The princess loved

The princess loves eating in gourmet restaurants. So much so that we gave her the idea of calling her future cats “Pre-dessert” and “Amuse-bouche”, or even “Palace”… What she really really loves is being surprised and discovering the many courses, one after the other. She obviously loved the risotto, because it’s her favorite dish!

Her parents liked

It was above all the fact of dining at the Epicure restaurant that we liked. Because we really appreciate the teams at Le Bristol and so, our dinner was punctuated by a lot of laughs. We also thank Chef Eric Frechon for making the effort, for us, to provide not only a tasting menu, but also a 100% plant-based birthday cake.
