Hôtel Square Louvois: convenient, but not a favorite

Our stay in Paris was punctuated by numerous hotel tests, including the Hôtel Square Louvois. Located in the 2nd arrondissement of the capital, it is a fairly small hotel that welcomes both families and people staying in Paris for business reasons.

We had booked a Deluxe Room (28 m2). This room is designed to accommodate three people. So with the princess and for two nights, it was manageable, but we don’t recommend it for a longer stay as it’s really small.

The Hôtel Square Louvois in Paris was the first stop during our Parisian stay, which allowed us to discover the Hôtel Hoy Paris, but also to spend a few magnificent days at Le Bristol.

To come back to Hôtel Square Louvois, we did not really fall in love with it. The place is pretty, stylish and the staff is professional, but we didn’t feel that it was cosy enough for us. We think that it lacks a certain soul or personality.

The rooms at the Hôtel Square Louvois are relatively small. The comfort is real, with a large bed and the princess had an extra bed, also very comfortable. The bathrooms are quite spacious and very nicely decorated. We didn’t here any noise from other rooms and the soundproofing from the street was pretty good.

Which room with a child?

We do not recommend the Deluxe rooms at the Hotel Square Louvois, as they are really small for three people. If you can, book a Family room instead.

The princess loved

It was not the big crush. The pool was quite small with too many people and she found the room a bit too “cold” in terms of atmosphere.

On the plus side …

What about breakfast?

We did not have breakfast at the Hotel Square Louvois as it was not really vegan friendly. The breakfast room is located on the ground floor, with a buffet service.

I think Hôtel Square Louvois does not meet our expectations with the princesse. It is probably the perfect hotel for a romantic getaway in Paris, but as a family, we are looking for more cozy places and slightly more spacious rooms.

At the hotel

We really believe that Hotel Square Louvois is more of a hotel designed for people who want to stay a few days only, rather than several weeks. At the hotel, you will find a small swimming pool in the basement as well as a gym (which we did not see).

Close to your hotel

The hotel is super central, so you have plenty of choice. We chose to go to the Pompeii exhibition at the Grand Palais which was absolutely magnificent. The Palais Royal and the Louvre are also nearby.
