It was a few years ago: our first stay at the Langham London. The princess was still a toddler and we had a big crush on this central, quiet hotel with attentive staff. It has since become one of our favorite places in London. And why is that? Mainly because of the Club floor and the beautiful swimming pool.

From our first visit, we chose to book an Executive Room to make sure we had access to the Club. Very specific to Langham hotels, the “Club” welcomes you throughout the day for a private check-in / check-out, refreshments, snacks, breakfast, afternoon tea …: you actually have access to a cocoon, for a different and very sweet experience.

The Langham London remains a very beautiful hotel, with a lot of charm, whether you decide to take advantage of the Club or not. We admit having a little trouble having breakfast in the downstairs room, which is too big and too noisy. The Club welcomes us as soon as we wake up, for a truly cozy atmosphere and very attentive service. We also like to spend some time in this quiet place in the evening, when we want to stay indoors (when it’s raining in London for example, something more than common!).

Which room with a child?

We recommend the Executive room if you have only one child, like us. Large enough to accommodate the three of you (with a large folding bed), you will still feel very at ease. Ideally, we recommend the Family Room.

The bathrooms are spacious, with a shower and a bathtub.

The princesse loved

The princess loves the pool at the Langham London, but also the Club. She could spend whole days there, eating and drawing. She also likes welcome gifts of course: little bear, umbrella …

On the plus side …

What about breakfast?

Whether you have it at the Club or downstairs, breakfast at The Langham London is one of our favorites. You have a buffet option which is absolutely amazing … With many fresh fruits and vegetables and all the options you can dream of. Vegans will have a little less choice, however do not hesitate to ask for coconut yogurt, plant-based milks and stock up on vitamins with salads and very fresh fruits. You can also ask for a vegan oatmeal.

We’ll be back for …

What brings us back to The Langham London is above all the way we are welcomed at the Club and the swimming pool. The spa is also very pleasant, with attentive and professional staff. The gym is large and ultra modern (and often empty!).

Activities

At the hotel

The Langham London swimming pool welcomes you with your family. Upon arrival, do not forget to ask about the times during which the swimming pool is accessible to families with children. Kids are invited to stay calm as you are inside the spa. Obviously, not everyone respects the instructions, which is quickly painful when your child IS calm … Our advice: go early in the morning, you should only find people swimming.

Close to your hotel

You are in the heart of London, so you might as well say that the ideas for activities are legion … Looking for a great idea with toddlers or older kids? The Natural History Museum (click on the link for more information) is for you. You will discover incredible dinosaurs and can spend hours there without ever getting bored. This museum adjoins the Science Museum which is also incredibly rich.

As always in London, admission to museums is completely free!
