It was with the Futuroscope in Poitiers that we began our journey in September 2021, just before going to Angers and then leaving for Brittany. “Mythical” park, I had never set foot there and so it was an opportunity to discover it with the princess. Well, we’re not going to lie, we expected something else. Being to used to Disneyland Paris, we were VERY disappointed by our day!

We were amazed by the number of extremely aging attractions, which clearly have nothing to do in a park from the 2020s! Even the famous “Dancing with Robots” attraction that we’ve been hearing about at Futuroscope is clearly not very exciting, on top of being super short! We’re not talking to you about “La Vienne dynamique”, which is a total shame, with a  movie that dates from the 80s…

We were lucky enough to go there in September, which already allowed us to avoid the long queues. But beyond that, it’s pretty much only the Rabbids attraction and the new roller coaster that are worth the effort. Basically, two attractions for a relatively expensive price, it’s not worth it. We had the impression of being in the 1990s and at 4 p.m., we had toured what seemed interesting to us at the Futuroscope.

Good to know

Must do

There are only two Futuroscope attractions that we think are really great: “Objectif Mars”, with a real roller coaster, which we have therefore done several times to have the impression of having done things… and “La Machine à voyager dans le temps”, which features the Rabbids, and which is really funny. For the rest, it’s at most incidental and at worst, you’ll either be bored or remain incredulous about the visual quality, with productions that have a good number of years behind them.

The princess loved

She found that a lot of things were very old, and especially La Vienne Dynamique… She loved Objectif Mars which she wanted to redo several times and she laughed a lot with the Rabbids. Even the decor when you queue is very nice.

The ups for kids

Objectif Mars au Futuroscope

Your kids are over 8 years old

We almost want to tell you to wait for the Futuroscope to modernize and offer new attractions, because clearly, right now, the magic is not there.

Your kids are less than 8 years old

If you are lucky enough to have good weather, we recommend outdoor activities, with water, manual rides, but which are quite fun. And they will laugh a lot thanks to the Rabbids.
