It sits majestically in the city center. I admit to having seen it tens, if not hundreds of times since I spent my three years of high school in this city. I even spent some time in the library on several occasions, however, it is only today that I discover the beauty of the Château de Blois.
And if you are looking for a hotel idea, we recommend the Mercure hotel in Blois or the Auberge du Bon Laboureur in Chenonceaux.
Overlooking the nearby Jardin du Roi, the Château de Blois is probably one of my favorite castles in the Loir-et-Cher. I like its architecture, its nobility without ostentation. I have the feeling that he takes himself less seriously than the other castles …It was therefore impossible not to go there with the princess during our weekend in the region.

Climb the few stairs that will lead you to the Château de Blois and take some time to stroll around the courtyard to admire the facade. You can even take a funny picture, with a polaroid frame. You will also like the beautiful exterior staircase, and the Château de Blois can just as easily be enjoyed from the outside if you do not want to visit it from the inside.
Good to know

A must do
If you have the opportunity, we strongly recommend that you attend the sound and light show, which generally begins in April and ends in September. You will discover a completely different castle.
The princess loved
She really liked the yard and making funny faces to take a picture in the frame provided for this purpose. She also liked to see the castle from the gardens below.

Visiting the Château de Blois is likely to be laborious. Let them have fun in the courtyard or spend some time in the park while you admire the facades of the castle.
Guideez is a very nice app that allows you to visit the castle in a fun way with children. The contents are adapted according to kids’ ages: 5/7 years, 7/10 years or 10/12 years.
