Our many walks in Barcelona, whether to go to the Sagrada Familia or to visit the Parc Güel, among others, were also an opportunity to discover vegan or vegan friendly bakeries. We fell in love with the Chök brand, which offers delicious vegan donuts.

So, not all Chök donuts are vegan, but many are and they are delicious. Among the vegan and vegan friendly bakeries in Barcelona, this is really a big favorite for us. There is also a wide choice of vegan cupcakes and clearly, when you enter a shop, everything is tempting! You will even find gluten-free options. You can also combine vegan and gluten-free with chocolate and raspberry muffins, chocolate and mango muffins, mini pies or even cookies.
And to make you dream, you must know that there are vegan kronuts, chocolate/orange donuts or vegan peanut butter donuts. But to see them all, you will have to enter a shop!

La Besneta
Unfortunately, we were disappointed by La Besneta. We had heard a lot about this vegan bakery, but we weren’t at all thrilled with our purchases. First, you should know that most of the proposals were rather meant to be eaten at home, not really on the go. It was also crazy hot in the shop, so we tried to hurry to get out.
The staff was very nice and we really wanted to be able to say that we loved it, but the croissant that I bought was very, very dry. So dry that I didn’t even finish it… There were a lot of pies and carrot cakes and I admit that we were probably expecting more originality and less dry cakes.
