Because of course, it’s always tempting to eat at Mildreds Soho, Farmacy London or even 123V, but sometimes you have to think outside the box and make discoveries. And then everything had started well, because the reviews were pretty good and the photos of the dishes were very appealing.

But … once at the restaurant… what a disappointment: Tendril restaurant is literally part of a pub with no real separation (no closed door) so the atmosphere, which was intended to be refined on paper, was not at all what we expected.

And we are even more disappointed that we found that Tendril‘s courses really lived up to our expectations. With plates to share, the choices in terms of flavors were mastered and the aesthetics of the plates were really flawless. But the somewhat cheap service and the fact that you don’t hear each other in this room totally contrast with Tendril‘s desire to offer refined cuisine.

In the end …

The princess loved

To be honest, nothing at all… She hated the noisy place and didn’t like Tendril‘s dishes at all, which were probably too different from what she is used to eating, even if she is very used to all types of restaurants. Bad luck that night!

Her parents liked

Personally, I really liked the dishes and the fact that you can share plates. The combinations of flavors were really successful and we could have spent much more time in this restaurant if the atmosphere had been pleasant. We are really surprised by the choice made by Tendril to associate a refined and sophisticated cuisine with such an unsuitable place.

During our meal, it was a procession of people (mainly male) from the pub to go to the toilets. Not classy at all!
